Doctor of sciences from the University of Western Ontario, 1986; master of science from the same university, 1988; in 1995 - 1999 he worked as senior scientific worker at the University of Washington in Seattle; currently he works as docent on the department of otolaryngology of the University of California; hobbies: aviation, underwater floating, playing pipe; in 1992 he was a candidate for the second Canadian Space Team.
