Bachelor of science and master of science in mechanical engineering from CalTech, 1957 and 1958 respectively; Colonel, USAF, Ret.; selected in 1966 for MOL-2 ; in 1977 he was pilot of the first, third and fifth test flight with the Space Shuttle Enterprise (ALT); hobbies: Woodworking, photography, tennis, racquetball; later he was research pilot at NASA Dryden Flight Research Facility, Edwards AFB; until December 31, 2007 he was project pilot for Propulsion Controlled Aircraft Program; later he was retired.
